Leon Zeytline

(1885 -1962)
Léon Zeytline was a Russian painter whom moved from Moscow to the capital of France at the beginning of the 20th century. He started depicting daily life of Paris during the 1920's, illustrating the numerous and famous squares and boulevards, such as the "Boulevard de l'Opéra" and "Les Champs Elysées" for example. His work is very detailed in an architectural manner with multiple personnages that makes it quite a commercial subject. His work can be compared to the oeuvre of his contemporaries Edouard Cortès and Eugène Galien-Laloue. One of his masterpieces can be found back in the collection of "Musée Carnavalet" in Paris.
