Louis Magre

Born in Paris in 1955, Louis Magre now lives in Provence.
Louis Magre first studied drawing and architecture before becoming more involved in the world of art. After many years of painting nudes and doing charcoal sketches he turned to impressionism, thus following in the footsteps of Masters like Monet, Pissaro and Sisley. His main source of inspiration for the last years has been subjects related to Provence, because of the light, the warm tones, the ‘mistral’ and the olive trees. The work of Louis Magre can be found in various galleries in France, Belgium and the United States, notably in Carmel, California.
