VENTURA DIAZ
Spanish

Diaz was born in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain in 1948. He studied at the Fine Arts School in Valencia where he obtained brilliant results. His unique impressionistic style of landscapes and seascapes are softly portrayed with delicate colors. He travels to find his inspiration in nature first hand. Each painting captures his personality and realism.

Ventura Diaz has the technique and capability for making more sophisticated and pretentious paintings, but he states that he aspires to a higher level of human virtue and does not want to deceive anyone with a calculated attitude or technique.

His paintings are shown in galleries and private collections, especially in Spain and the United States. He has received many prizes in Spain, including the coveted National Honor of Madrid in 1965.
